FLORE

Flore is a leading figure in the French bass scene, known for her prowess as a DJ, producer, curator, and label boss of POLAAR. Her energy-filled DJ sets and ability to create a sense of community on the dance floor are what set her apart. With a passion for a variety of musical styles, Flore seamlessly blends amen-breaks, Afro-Caribbean influences, acid house, and techno. As a resident of Le Sucre in Lyon, she showcases her impressive musical selections, consistently delivering well-curated and distinctive sets, characterized by syncopated bass drums, explosive basslines, and intense percussion.

In 2020, Flore released her second album, RITUALS, on her own label POLAAR. This album distinguishes itself through Flore’s unique approach to bass music and her eagerness to break down genre barriers. RITUALS caught the attention of numerous DJs and media outlets, both nationally and internationally, including the BBC, Mixmag, Trax, and Tsugi. Following the album’s success, Flore has released several EPs that have made a strong impression, such as Legacy & Broken Pieces —released in May 2022— or more recently «Base IQ», released on Peder Mannerfelt’s PM+ label. These highly acclaimed releases earned her an invitation to record a mix for the Dekmantel collection (named Best Mix of the Week on Resident Advisor upon release) and, more recently, a Boiler Room mix.

Flore’s passion for technology as a means to escape the confines of conventional music genres has led her to explore new aesthetics and stage setups. In recent years, she has worked closely with visual artist WSK to create immersive live shows that combine music and 360-degree video mapping. She is also increasingly interested in multi-speaker diffusion and is currently working on a dome project. Her expertise in this area earned her the distinction of becoming the first certified female Ableton instructor in France. As a result, she is frequently invited to collaborate on various projects, such as the live performance “inBach” with musician Arandel (inFiné) and a joint creation featuring the Musée de la Musique’s collection of rare and valuable instruments.

All of these elements come together to make Flore a truly captivating artist and a force to be reckoned with in the European music scene. If you haven’t experienced her live sets or listened to RITUALS yet, you are missing out on something truly special.

GOTH TRAD

Goth-Trad is a Japanese electronic music producer who began his career in 1998 and has built a reputation for a highly distinctive, genre-blending sound. Drawing from dub, reggae, jungle, grime, noise, and dubstep, he has continuously experimented to create music that is both abstract and dancefloor-driven. Early in his career, he formed the group Rebel Familia while developing his solo work, gaining recognition in Tokyo’s underground scene and eventually touring Europe. His breakthrough came in the mid-2000s, particularly with the track “Back To Chill,” which became closely associated with Japan’s emerging dubstep movement. Around the same time, he connected with Mala of Digital Mystikz and began releasing music on the influential UK label Deep Medi Musik, establishing himself as a key figure in the global dubstep scene. His albums, especially New Epoch (2012), received international acclaim and solidified his position as one of the genre’s leading voices. Beyond production and touring across Europe, Asia, and the US, Goth-Trad has also played an important role in shaping the scene through his long-running Tokyo event “Back To Chill,” which evolved into both a platform for new talent and his own label. In later years, he expanded his sound further through collaborations with artists from noise, industrial, and experimental backgrounds, as well as projects like EARTAKER. Constantly evolving, Goth-Trad remains committed to pushing boundaries while creating honest, forward-thinking music.

ALICE CAROLINE

Techno

Based in Barcelona, Spain, Alice Caroline (projects: Sequalog, Outform) finds balance in the juxtaposition of darkness and light, ugliness and beauty, melancholy and ecstasy. A classically trained pianist turned DJ, the Ukrainian selector moves with precision and instinct through sets traversing minimal, techno, acid, and trance—hypnotic, trip-tinged, and always driving while remaining attuned to the dance floor. Her love for music runs deep: from sneaking into parties in Kharkiv at 13 to running the Outform nights at Port Club by 2019, the Barcelona-based artist has made a name for herself performing for Closer, Les Enfants, Sequalog, and Mad Radio with a sound that lingers long after the night ends.

ROOM 2: VILLAROSA

Purpur

Purpur is a resident DJ at Villarosa, the upstairs room of Moog Club, where she gets the dance floor buzzing with a dynamic selection of pop, rock, and hits. Her ability to create a festive and catchy atmosphere turns every session into a space for pure enjoyment and non-stop dancing. She also takes part in the El Dirty party at Razzmatazz, bringing her unique style and energy to every set.
