To speak of Raül Pratginestós (DJ Zero) is to talk about a vital institution in Barcelona. Regarded as a leading authority on electronic music, this veteran selector is celebrated not only for his versatility behind the decks but also for the deep respect he commands among his industry peers. Over the years, he has expanded his role as a DJ through music journalism, event promotion, running the Fauni Gena label, and managing the legendary electronic section at the Wah Wah record shop. He owns one of the finest vinyl collections in the country—an archive so impressive that Boiler Room director Michail Stangl even visited his home to document it. Despite a profound musical knowledge that leads icons like Óscar Mulero to name him as one of the country’s best, Zero remains remarkably humble, warm, and approachable.
His journey began in 1990 as a turntablist, competing in the DMC championships and becoming a central figure in the Spanish hip-hop scene, particularly after co-founding the group 7 Notas 7 Colores alongside Mucho Muchacho in 1992. Shortly after, his career intersected with the electronic music explosion in Barcelona. As a resident at the historic Nitsa club in Plaça Joan Llongueras alongside Sideral, he drove a sonic revolution that culminated in the launch of the Sónar Festival in 1994. With a career spanning over three decades, Zero remains strictly dedicated to analogue culture as a way of life. His sets move effortlessly from the raw roots of Detroit and Chicago to contemporary techno, rare grooves, Italo-disco, and avant-garde electronic sounds.
Uroz is one of the main resident dj since 2012 of Barcelona’s landmark Moog Club. Spinning around since 2005 he is a reknowed personality in the underground by his long dj sets because each record in his hands is mixable. Has become one of the most essential and versatile djs in Barcelona. His love for all music genres is abundantly clear in his far-reaching mixes. He is able to mix cosmic wave with current electronica, and then masterfully veer towards acid, electro and EBM, moving seamlessly into repetitive 4×4 techno rhythms, the prevalent Moog Club style. Versatility is power!
Maribel Pinchadiscos has been DJing in Barcelona’s bars and clubs for years, with an even longer background as a musical selector and curator. She was always the kind of person who would make you a custom mixtape for your birthday.
In her sets, anything can happen: she doesn’t limit herself to genres, doesn’t follow strict rules, and never takes herself too seriously. Her sessions are eclectic, playful, and full of joy, celebrating music in its freest form.
