SCIAHRI

Italo/Iranian DJ and Producer Sciahriar ‘Sciahri’ Tavakoli has been a significant presence in the Techno scene since his 2014 debut EP ‘Mysterious Love’ on Ilian Tape. Sciahri’s work explores the full spectrum of Techno, seamlessly blending functional paradigms with texture-focused experimentation. This diverse approach is also reflected in his multifaceted DJ sets. Sciahri has cemented his influence in the Techno community through releases on some of the genre’s most esteemed record labels, including Warm Up, Non Series, Clergy, Semantica, Mord, and 47. In parallel, he has been running his own label, Sublunar Records, since 2017, contributing to the evolution of contemporary Techno. Sublunar Records has released music from both established and emerging artists such as Temudo, D-Leria, Cirkle, Oscar Mulero, Kangding Ray, Adriana Lopez, and Paleman. In 2022, Sciahri debuted a new live project focused on ambient/experimental Techno with a world premiere at the Tehran Contemporary Sounds festival. This project underscores his commitment to pushing the boundaries of Techno and exploring new sonic territories. Through his various projects and his label, Sciahri continues to shape the sound of modern Techno, creating a dynamic and evolving musical landscape.
