Vitorio Testa is a DJ born, raised, and based in Barcelona. He began going out around 2009 into the dark and alternative scene of the city, discovering classic sounds from rock and metal in the best underground pubs and bars, to EBM, synthpop, darkwave, electro, and techno in the clubs. After some years, he decided to start learning from some of the best local DJs and producers in the scene, like Dave Inox (a.k.a. Blackout Dj), Sergio Delirio (NOCTURNA/Eclipse Group), Dan Martin (Depeche Mode BCN Fanclub), or Pepebilly (Psicodromo), absorbing the best of each one.
Through the years, he has been evolving and discovering different genres, labels, clubs, people, and waves that have made his sets an eclectic and enjoyable selection of sounds. As he has been influenced by 80s music since he was a child, he has been more focused on the new italo and dark disco scene, making his sessions a mix from classic italo to dark disco, darkwave, EBM, techno, and electro from labels such as Italo Moderni, Dark Entries, Bordello a Parigi, Moustache Records, Zyx, Libertine, Mecanica, Aufnahme Wiedergabe, Slow Motion, etc. Vitorio is a passionate vinyl collector and, whenever possible, records are always his favourite option for making people enjoy a good set.
As a big lover of Japanese culture and sounds (city pop, enka, electronic, jazz, visual kei, j-pop, metal, etc.), he is now focused on his project DOLCE KOKORO, a series of events that began in 2024 alongside Atari Stacey under the original name “Kokoro Groove”. This evolved into a unique blend of italo, electro, and 80s-inspired sounds infused with Japanese music—with “city pop” taking center stage, alongside other genres such as electronic music and various dancefloor rhythms—all centered around the use of vinyl records in their sets.
He has played in many renowned clubs and parties in Barcelona such as The Garage of the Bass Valley, Switch Pocket Club, La Paloma, Nocturna Festival (Eclipse Group), DeSade Festival (fetish & BDSM), Upload, Freedonia, or Sala Meteoro, and he is currently active as a monthly DJ at the iconic Manchester Bar in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, as well as present in the fetish/BDSM circuit.
He was part of the DJs’ line-up for ADE FESTIVAL 2024 with Adrian Marth (Italo Moderni) & Julian Reca for Bordello a Parigi at Bordello Aperitivo.
As a musician, he has been a member of the bands Extinction Front (electric guitar), Motorzombis (double bass), and Pioneros Cano (voice and production). He is also experienced in concert/event promotion and production with Eclipse Group, and worked at the famous Spanish metal festival “RESURRECTION FEST” (2022/2023/2024) as a backstage/hospitality assistant for the main bands on the line-up.
