Univac (data-Electronic music project). 2010, Rubí (Barcelona). Created by the electronic music producer and performer Rafael M. Espinosa as the sole member. Also the creator of the electronic music project Geistform. Univac bases his proposal on analog rhythms, sounds, and sequences. Situated within the electro scene, he follows the direction of the so-called “Hague sound” and “robot electro”… In 2011, his first EP “Radiation” appeared on the mythical label Bunker Records. Univac has been defined in different media as: “harsh, uncompromising, menacing, shadowy, brutal…”. Men will soon arrive in Barcelona after playing all the clubs in their native Cantabria (La Real, Locomotive, Whipporwill…) and will begin to donate war to the venues from the beginning of the 90s. Both sessions ended up being considered one of the greatest exponents of local techno. Techno is serious, from energy to relentless pressure and hype, but the influence of many other styles such as industrial, Detroit hard funk or the more ballable IDM is noteworthy. Tot hope that it is decided to publish its own material, which seems to be one of its own objectives, a MEN session is a sure value.
Clara Rigby is a resident DJ at Villarosa, known for her ability to energize any dance floor with fresh selections of pop, indie, and rock. She began her career alongside DJ Freso under the names Walter and Cariño. She was part of Sidecar’s lineup for years and recently performed at the Fango party at Barcelona’s Monumental square, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the city’s nightlife.
