As an established artist, Rommek has expanded his own sound, carving his way into the current techno and experimental scenes since 2013. His extensive interest in sound design is crafted within the cinematic atmospheres, heavy broken rhythms and electrifying tones found within his productions. Rommek joined the seminal Blueprint Records in 2016, releasing five EPs, gaining remixes from label owner James Ruskin, Broken English Club, O/V/R and Makaton, which established his position on the map. Since then, a steady output of releases on Tommy Four Seven’s 47 imprint, Ellen Aliens’ Bpitch Control, Mord, Leyla and Ear to Ground have reinforced his sonic identity. He currently holds a residency for Natural Selection at the London club Fold, where he also works as a Sound Engineer. Since releasing over 20 EP’s, Rommek has gained a wide range of noteworthy support, from BBC Radio 1, to features and reviews in Mixmag, The Wire, The Quietus, KEYI and Fuze magazine. Furthermore, as a DJ, he has played extensively around the globe, touring in Asia, North & South America and across Europe at many iconic venues and festivals. As a sound designer Romek Boyer has worked for major fashion brands such as Carhartt, Farfetch, Vogue, Cartier, GQ, Zara, Aries, Bella Freud, and other commercial brands. From this, it’s clear that Rommek is driven to continue expanding his capabilities and keep things moving forward.
