Coyu (Suara, BCN) + Uroz (Moog Club)
Monraker Dj
Coyu
After 15 years of career, Coyu is one of the most referenced and respected personalities in the techno scene. After founding his cat empire in 2008, Suara, he is known to be the inspiration of many for what he has achieved, leading a brand that shows no signs of slowing down.
A career-defining moment for the multi-faceted Spanish producer, DJ and label boss Coyu came to fruition in 2019. It’s been more than seven years of intense introspection and studio work to give birth to his first album. Don’t expect an LP that fulfills a club function; “You Don’t Know” branches far beyond a singular sound and shows how versatile it can be. In Coyu’s words “The album is called ‘You Don’t Know’ because a lot of people have a preconceived idea of who I am. Until now, maybe I haven’t been smart enough to show them who I really am, my roots, what I like and what I can offer to music.”
The album “You Don’t Know” features collaborations with some of the best names in techno and electronica around the world, such as legendary vocalist Lazarusman, Mike Leary, The Horrorist, Thomas Gandey (“1+1” first single taken from the album), Gabriella Vergilov and MOBY on the track “I May Be Dead, But One Day The World Will Be Beautiful Again”. “You Don’t Know” is a wide-ranging and adventurous album that covers a lot of musical ground and takes you on a true electronic journey from one of the most accomplished names in dance music.

UROZ
Acid / EBM / Techno
Uroz may be a supercool resident DJ at Barcelona’s Moog but he works techno like a Swiss craftsman in search of a clock with a 4/4 time signature and hands that never run slow despite the passing years. There are people we can call a thoroughbred DJs – artists “born to the beat,” who know how to interpret what is happening in every corner of the room and have no doubt about which way to go to keep the audience moving together in the same direction. Uroz is one of these. His techno, distilled through experience and built up strongly by the demanding daily rhythm of working a resident, fits into a panorama that covers all kinds of music: indie, acid house, EBM, post-punk, the other kind of electronica and even the dub version of the B-side of some forgettable record. Because a DJ does not live by techno alone, although the rest of us would happily live off the propositions he keeps in that suitcase of his.
