Adriana López (Grey Report / Modularz / Semantica / Stroboscopic Artefacts, BCN)

Techno

With a multifaceted career as a DJ, producer and sound technician, Adriana Lopez has become one of the most internationally renowned techno artists and a pioneer and key figure of the Colombian electronic music scene.

Adriana was born in Bogota (Colombia) and currently resides in Barcelona. She began her career in the late 90s.

As she herself explains, techno came at a time “of many personal and professional changes and somehow it was an escape route that opened up for me”.

In 2003 she decided to take a step forward and look for new opportunities. It was then when he decided to study Sound and Electronic Music Production and, in turn, continue his career as a DJ in Europe. That’s how he landed in Spain and settled in Barcelona. The city remains her home base when she is not touring and performing around the world.

Lopez is also the head of her own record label, Grey Report , on which she releases her material and that of other artists akin to her sound. In addition, she has released her music on other prestigious labels such as Modularz, Semantica, PoleGroup, Stroboscopic Artefacts and Mistress Recordings. He has also remixed artists like Svreca on Semantica, Pär Grindvik on Stockholm LTD or Spencer Parker on Work Them Records.

His productions stand out for their use of essential rhythms, looped patterns and introspective melodies, often topped by a certain Berlin influence.

Thanks to this intense and unstoppable activity, Adriana Lopez has managed to become one of the most influential artists in the world of ‘techno’ music.
