Whenever she DJs in Barcelona or Ibiza (the two places where she hangs her hat when she’s not on tour), you can tell that her techno, influenced by both German and American sounds, is the cornerstone of her sets. Or at least you can tell if you’re one of those dancefloor weirdos who takes time out to notice what’s being played from the booth instead of having a good time dancing. Anyway, the charismatic creator of Chapter Records doesn’t let you look at her: she spots you and skewers you with her fierce gaze. Anika captures the audience, plays with their mood and interprets the meaning of the night. She’s the boss.
