Behind the name Internal Operator is Nacho Romero, an Almerian based in Barcelona who has carved out his niche in the local scene on his own merits.
A champion of vinyl with a musical profile modelled by UK breaks and the electro sound, he does not hide his special fondness for the dirty, miserable world of the Dutch west coast, home of Bunker Records, IFM Radio and Legowelt. These are the sounds he draws on for his powerful, incisive sessions. You can get a good idea of this from his appearances on the famous Dutch Operator radio station or at the IFMX festival in the Hague. A risk-taker in form and substance, his mission is clear: take no prisoners.
Romero is in charge of programming for the Ombra Festival and runs a booking agency with raw talent from Barcelona and beyond with a particular sound: dirty, brown & miserable.
Belonging to a new generation of DJs in Barcelona, with an emerging career as a producer on labels such as MUSA and Veyl, RNXRX is already one of the key dancefloor names in the city.
