Kr!z has been at the forefront of techno for more than a decade. Influenced by the hypnotic and energetic sound spearheaded by veterans such as Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad, and James Ruskin, he has gradually but steadily developed his own identity in the international techno scene.

After making a name for himself as a skilled DJ with sharp focus and a fast mixing style in his home country Belgium and the Netherlands, Kr!z launched Token Records in 2007. Since then, the label has become a leading outlet for purist, intellectual techno sounds. He quickly established the label with a timeless and powerful sound, taking it around the world with label nights on every continent. Token remains essential in defining techno today: always straightforward, sometimes weird, often catchy — all under the helm of Kr!z as passionate A&R.

After 12 years focused on curating the Token catalog and supporting the label’s artists, 2019 saw the release of his long-awaited debut EP on Token. Mantra received high acclaim from both media and key DJs in the scene. This momentum continued in 2020 with Scorpion’s Tail on Voltage Imprint and Malice & Imperative Needs on a split EP with Pfirter on MindTrip.

2022 marked his most prolific year to date, with three full EPs: Neutrino EP on James Ruskin’s Blueprint Records, The Tunnel on Setaoc Mass’ SK_eleven, and a third one on Token Records.

As a DJ, Kr!z takes listeners on journeys that transcend space and time. Guided by deeply hypnotic grooves, syncopated rhythms, and widely reverberating atmospheres, his desire to guide the dancefloor into unknown depths can be felt in every note. Intensities build up and collapse under his skillful hands, knowing exactly what each knob twist will result in. Every set feels like a mathematical equation, deciphering the mysteries of music in real time.
