Malena Devila (Devila Crew)

Techno

Malena Devila was born and raised in Buenos Aires, and settled in Spain in 2016. Dj, visual artist and producer, she started organizing clandestine raves in Barcelona to play, practice and share her music, connecting with more Djs and collectives in the scene; as well as studying music production with artists and colleagues in the city. She was never alone, so in 2019 she created Devila Crew together with her sister and best friends, a women’s event production company, supporting herself in the scene and defending her rights. Malena Devila now continues to play her own concept parties, sharing booth with different artists, local and international, adding to gigs in bars and clubs in Barcelona, as well as festivals abroad. His favorite international festival is Plipki Records’ OKLA (Albania), where he travels to play every year. During his sets, he likes to create atmospheres of freedom, connection, lots of energy and dance, combining different styles and electrifying sounds of techno, acid, hard techno, raw, electro, and without a doubt, a lot of groove.

UROZ

Acid / EBM / Techno

Uroz may be a supercool resident DJ at Barcelona’s Moog but he works techno like a Swiss craftsman in search of a clock with a 4/4 time signature and hands that never run slow despite the passing years. There are people we can call a thoroughbred DJs – artists “born to the beat,” who know how to interpret what is happening in every corner of the room and have no doubt about which way to go to keep the audience moving together in the same direction. Uroz is one of these. His techno, distilled through experience and built up strongly by the demanding daily rhythm of working a resident, fits into a panorama that covers all kinds of music: indie, acid house, EBM, post-punk, the other kind of electronica and even the dub version of the B-side of some forgettable record. Because a DJ does not live by techno alone, although the rest of us would happily live off the propositions he keeps in that suitcase of his.
