Known for her DJ sets and productions that oscillate between dystopian aesthetics and luminous energy, REKA has cultivated a very personal approach to electronic music.

With selections ranging from contemporary techno to the prototypical past of the electro and wave genre, her sets are a highly sensitive affair, maneuvering seamlessly through dance music, which blend into a carefully told story that ebbs and flows with her vision and artistic prowess.

She began collecting records at the age of 10 and, as with music, the Spanish REKA, became infatuated with science, and it wasn’t until she graduated with a degree in genetics that she decided to follow her artistic path.

Her eagerness for knowledge and critical analysis is evident in her extensive musical career. A year into her DJ career, REKA was discovered by DJ Hell and joined International Deejay Gigolos as part of the all-female duo JeChic, releasing the acclaimed CD-mix leMix’. Three years later, REKA was selected to participate in the Toronto edition of the Red Bull Music Academy and eventually felt the desire to start her solo journey, moving into considerably darker and more experimental realms.

REKA, now based in Bertin, has toured the world, playing at clubs such as Berghain, KHIDI in ‘Tpilsi, and De School in Amsterdam to Movement in Detroit, Sonar in Barcelona, Vurt in ‘Seoul and The Corner in Taipel, among many others. He has also held a residency at techno institution Tresor between 2013 and 2019. In addition to her resident DJ duties, REKA took on the role of curator for several years, organizing her own night, WA.V.E S., and presenting ‘Tresor ‘s New Faces” . REKA’s rich experience and wide musical range have made her a very versatile artist, capable of delivering a great performance at any time, stage or context.

Working with labels such as BPitch Control, Bite, Fleisch & Khidi, Reka released her first EP, Divina The Innermost, on BITE, followed by the Todo Avaricia EP on FLEISCH in collaboration with Imperial Black Unit.

Uroz may be a supercool resident DJ at Barcelona’s Moog but he works techno like a Swiss craftsman in search of a clock with a 4/4 time signature and hands that never run slow despite the passing years. There are people we can call a thoroughbred DJs – artists “born to the beat,” who know how to interpret what is happening in every corner of the room and have no doubt about which way to go to keep the audience moving together in the same direction. Uroz is one of these. His techno, distilled through experience and built up strongly by the demanding daily rhythm of working a resident, fits into a panorama that covers all kinds of music: indie, acid house, EBM, post-punk, the other kind of electronica and even the dub version of the B-side of some forgettable record. Because a DJ does not live by techno alone, although the rest of us would happily live off the propositions he keeps in that suitcase of his.
